Manchester United won their fourth Premier League match in succession when they defeated Manchester City 2-1 in their Derby match at Old Trafford earlier today.
It was a statement victory for United, moving into third (Newcastle play tomorrow) place, just one point behind City, and six behind leaders Arsenal.
So, are United now genuine title contenders? They are now 10/1 third favourites to win the Premier League title. Arsenal are now the favourites at 10/11, with Man City at 11/10.
The 2-1 win at Old Trafford came courtesy of two late goals. The first from Bruno Fernandes on 78 minutes cancelled out Jack Grealish's 60th minute opener that put City ahead.
Marcus Rashford then won the match for United, prodding home a cross from Alejandro Garnacho on 82 minutes, continuing his excellent form of late.
This was a statement victory from United. And it was a far cry from United's 6-3 loss at the Etihad earlier this season. A result that actually flattered United.
