Southampton V Everton Tips – 25/10/20
A bit like Aston Villa on Friday night, I'm kind of waiting for Everton to slip up, and go back to normal.
Could today be that day? I don't know.
What I do know though, is that the Saints will be difficult opponents for Carlo Ancelotti's Everton team.
Everton are also without the suspended Richarlison, and although summer signing James Rodriguez now looks like he might make the match (he was a doubt earlier in the week), I have to wonder just how fit he is!
Southampton V Everton Odds
Southampton 2/1 - The Draw 5/2 - Everton 13/10
The Toffees are the favourites, but a quick look at the football betting odds suggests this is going to be a tight one.
Southampton sit 13th in the Premier League with 7 points. So on form, and looking at the table, Everton are justified favourites.
As we all know though, football doesn't always work like that.

Saints have bounced back well after back-to-back defeats
Southampton's two losses have come against Crystal Palace on the opening day of the season, and the barmy 5-2 defeat at home to Spurs on Matchweek 2.
Since then the Saints have picked up 7 points from three matches. Included in that run was a notable 3-3 draw away at Chelsea on Matchweek 5, showing that Ralf Hasenhuttl's side have a lot of spirit.
Toffee's 100% record went last weekend
For Everton, their 100% record disappeared in the Merseyside Derby last weekend.
That match could cost Everton more than just 2 points as well.
I've already eluded too Richarlison's absence today, which is down to the Red Card he picked up last Saturday.
And at the other end of the pitch, what will last weekend's antics do for Jordan Pickford's confidence?
The Everton keeper has come in for some pretty harsh criticism for his reckless tackle on Liverpool's Virgil van Dijk.
Pickford must feel like he shot Bamby last weekend, such is the outpouring of grief over van Dijk's absence for how ever long this season.
But the bigger picture for Everton and Pickford is his erratic form.
He made a mistake for England against Denmark, and not only did he get away with a Red Card against Liverpool, he also got away with the last minute mistake that gifted Jordan Henderson what he though was the winner, only to be saved by VAR.
Southampton V Everton Prediction
These two teams boast two of the Premier League's top strikers in Dominic Cavert-Lewin, and Danny Ings. With this in mind, it might be fair to expect goals in this one.
I am wary that these two teams might cancel each other out - like Man Utd and Chelsea yesterday - but I can still see goals.
Tip - Over 2.5 Goals and Both Teams to Score @ 1.89 in a Same Game Multi with Betfair
Over 2.5 goals is 3/4, and both teams to score is just 8/15.
Combining both these odds in a Same Game Multi on Betfair sees the odds go up to 1.89.
This isn't a huge incentive, given that over 2.5 goals is 3/4, but I still see it as a decent value bet.
